If you'd like one to one help with any cake decorating problems you are having or just want to learn a subject of your choice and work at your own pace, you can contact me to arrange a class that is specifically tailored to suit your needs.
You can choose to study at a time and date that suits you.
Book as many or few hours and classes as you like.
As a guide, a two hour long lesson is enough for most people to colour, shape and assemble two simple sugar models for example a teddy and a half rose.
Alternatively, you could make one detailed figure such as a 6" tall bride figure in a fancy wedding dress with textured hair and flowers.
Also in two hours you could decorate a simple contemporary novelty cake with a small spray of wired roses.
For a longer, four to five hour lesson, you could assemble a stacked and decorated two tier wedding cake.
I am CRB certified and have experience in teaching young children in nursery, first schools, girl guides, Brownie groups, teenagers in schools and on government projects.
Let me design a workshop for you, specifically incorporating any topics relevant to the school or group work. I have a prolific imagination so this won't be a problem!
Learn how to sculpt with sugar or air drying clay.
I can visit at a time convenient for you to answer any of your questions and provide samples of my work.
Heather has worked for me on two separate occasions each time successfully delivering a cake decorating workshop to a group of 14 & 15 year old pupils.
The groups are of mixed ability from A-E, with a variety of boys and girls, usually around 12-14 pupils in total. Heather has delivered these sessions with exceptionally high standards really challenging the pupils in encouraging them to produce quality outcomes of a professional standard.
Heather is able to lead a group well, whilst also providing one to one support to those who need it. Heather's ideas are unique, fun and imaginative, making them a great starting point for engaging and inspiring those around her.
She has always turned up fully prepared for the session she is about to deliver with pre-prepared resources, exemplar materials and adequate equipment for each of the students. I have no doubt that Heather will bring the same qualities to her next role and I look forward to working with her again.
